Our weight can change over time, but many of us are buying bras the same size, regardless of the change in breasts. Don't give yourself a set size all the time. If your weight fluctuates between 3-5kg, measure your bust and under-bust again and adjust it in time for your next bra purchase.
Now is the time to go to the store. Remember, try different bras until you find one that fits you, which may take about an hour and a half.
How to try on a bra
Be prepared to try no less than ten different bras made by at least two different companies. Try a classic design with sleek cups. Choose whatever you feel more comfortable with materially. Once you've settled on your size, you can try different designs.
Take the first two designs you size from taking your measurements. For example, 34A.
The two models you try below should have a smaller baseband size, but a larger cup size.
The third should have a smaller baseband size - in this case, Figure 32A.
The fourth should have a larger cup size such as 34B.
The last two should have both a larger cup and a larger baseband size - eg, 36C.
After the cup, base straps and shoulder straps: Each of your attempts should be evaluated based on three things.
When you're trying on a bra, the hooks are attached to the far right row (i.e. the loosest setting). Depending on the material, the base tape can be stretched up to 5 cm. At this point, you need to hook the remaining positions.
How the Perfect Bra Should Be: A Checklist
Baseband
90% of the support that a bra provides comes from the base strap and only 10% from the shoulder straps. The baseband should be firmly up to about the ribcage but not hurt your skin. Lift your arms bent and your spine from left to right - the baseband should stay in place. The center of the bra should firmly occupy the ribcage.
You should be able to fit two fingers down, but no more, otherwise the baseband will ride up after about half an hour of wearing the bra. It should lie exactly level across the chest. When you try it for the first time, it seems a little tight - that's normal.
Cup
If the cups are in their folds, then the bra is too big. Please try a smaller cup size.
If the bra squeezes your breasts to the point where you have your armpit crease near you, then it's too small. Try one with a larger cup size.
The majority of your bone's surface area should be located around the edges of your bra - including your ribs and sternum. If your bones are even partially covered in a bra, then you'll need a larger size.
shoulder strap
A bra should not only support your bust but also raise it. You can perform a simple test to help you determine if your bra is the correct size. Find the halfway point between your shoulders and elbows. This is where your bra should stick out the most from your breasts. If it is lower than this point, tighten the belt. But remember, they shouldn't hurt your shoulders or stretch the baseband.
Make sure you don't put too much weight on the straps of the bra. Lower them slightly from your shoulders. The cups may fall slightly, but the baseband should remain in the same position.
Also keep in mind that you should check the length of your bra's straps every day.
Another point: your height bust should not be lower than the lower edge of your bra. Bras are designed to resist gravity.
A bra of the right choice will help you look as if you have lost 3-5kg.
